After some city tours in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, we moved to Puerto Galera. It is almost 50 km away from Calapan with approximately an hour travel. We planned to stay there for 3 days and 2 nights to enjoy the beach and other activities.
As this trip was not properly planned, we did not even book for a hotel. We just simple went there and tried our luck to find a better and cheaper place to stay. We went directly to the White Beach which is the most popular tourist destination in Puerto Galera. As the name suggest, the beach has a long stretch of white sand and blue water. It’s a perfect place to go for swimming and other water activities. Along the seashores are bars, restaurants and souvenir shops.
And yes, we found a reasonable place to stay! We wanted a place near the beach and luckily we got – air-conditioned clean and neat rooms just a few minutes walk to the beach.
Some of us had tried the jet skiing, snorkeling, island hopping, in addition to “every now and then eating/swimming” and just simply relaxing while getting some vitamin-sea. We also watched the fire dancing at night while enjoying some cocktail drinks and a never ending chatting and laughing.
