A day tour in Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort

Sunday March 8, 2015

Villa Escudero is considered one of the most popular travel destinations in Quezon Province. Located in Tiaong, Quezon, Villa Escudero is 96 km away from Manila with approximately 2.5 hours drive. It was founded in the 1880s by Don Placido Escudero and his wife Doña Claudia Marasigan. Villa Escudero has a worldwide reputation as a showcase for the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage, offering a glimpse of its history, cuisine, dress, customs and country’s natural beauty.

Upon arrival at Villa Escudero, we went directly to the reception area to buy our tickets. While waiting, we were offered with their welcome drinks. After then, we waited for our carabao cart ride that will bring us to the amazing Villa Escudero.

After few minutes, our carabao cart had arrived. It is decorated with coconut leaves, and staffed by 3 people, a driver seated in front and the other two seated at the back with a guitar. As soon as the carabao cart moved, they started playing the guitar serenading us with lovely classical Filipino folk songs. Our olds were not stopped in singing with them. We were all enchanted during the ride with the relaxing classic music while enjoying the wonderful rural setting scenery of the whole place. Everything is a Wow in this Villa Escudero!

While approaching the dining area, the sound of the waterfall can be heard. This beauty of nature is truly amazing! Villa Escudero’s restaurant is exactly down the waterfalls. We enjoyed their very Filipino buffet food, barefoot and feet soaked in water while eating with the whole family. Truly a must visit tourist destination in Quezon. Worth visiting for!
