Passing Tamaraw Falls in Oriental Mindoro

Tuesday March 3, 2015

Travelling from Calapan City going to Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, there is a one stop that you will never miss, the Tamaraw Falls.

Tamaraw falls is located along the highway of San Teodoro and Puerto Galera towns, with 423 feet high. History says the Tamaraw Falls is named after the Mindoro’s drawf buffalo called the Tamaraw, which is very rare and endangered species found only in the Island of Mindoro. The majestic beauty of this Tamaraw Falls is truly amazing.

On our trip to Puerto Galera, we decided to stop over the Tamaraw Falls. The waterfall was so impressive, twin waterfalls from the top of the mountain merging into one. There were also tamaraw sculptures just below the waterfall for anyone who like to pose and take pictures.

After our photo sessions, we bought some snacks, refreshment and souvenir items. Truly a perfect place to rest and enjoy the nature scenery before going to the salty white beach of Puerto Galera.
