After our 3-day vacation in Baguio, we decided to pass by Pangasinan. Baguio to Pangasinan is just more than 60 km away with less 2 hours travel time. We stayed the night at our friend’s house in Mangaldan, Tya Pusit as we jokingly call her is our friend for more than a decade now, started during our Dubai days.
Kid were excited the following morning, our day tour to the Hundred Islands! The Hundred Islands National Park is known to be the first Philippine National Park and a protected area located in Alaminos, Pangasinan. The national records show there are 124 islands at low tide and 123 islands at high tide and they are scattered in Lingayen Gulf.
Early in the morning we drove to the Tourism Information Center in Alaminos. From there, we checked all the available tour packages in the Hundred Islands National Park. We booked a medium boat for a day tour to take us to the Children’s Island where the kids can swim and enjoy.
On the way to the Children’s Island, there are smaller undeveloped islands. The islands are so amazing and beautiful, look like floating green rocks filled with trees. One of the islands we passed by has a giant statue of Jesus Christ with a sign “Pilgrimage Island Jesus The Savior”.

Our tour was short but indeed enjoyable. The kids loved swimming at the beach park and we used most our time there. This place should definitely be put in everyone’s bucket list. We’ll definitely return here – it’s more in the Philippines!
